Another Good Cause
I met Lauren, Jill and Sarah (friends of Todd) at their fundraiser/happy hour at Big Hunt last week. As it happens, the three of them are raising money to take part in upcoming marathon(s) as part of the Leukemia and Lyphoma's Team in Training. Not a bad cause. Lauren gave me her card and a link to her website, where you can read all about her efforts and her history with Leukemia and Lymphoma.
Lauren's less than $700 away from reaching her goal of $4,000 in donations before she heads off to run in the Rock 'N Roll Marathon in San Diego on June 4th. I feel good things will happen if my Timphoma.org readership can help push her over the edge. Okay -- Nat and I have contributed to Lauren and her marathon. She is clearly a most impressive and dedicated young woman. But the merchandise I am having trouble with -- any chance of something not quite so tacky?? Trucker caps and Tshirts with your photo in your teen chubby days are just too awful!! And I want even begin to list the pop culture references I don't understand. Oh well.

Sorry this blog has been so quiet lately... the silence was initially due to no news... but this week we finally got GREAT NEWS: Tim is cancer-free!! There are still a number of additional tests to run, and of course we have to share his reults with a myriad of doctors to figure out where we go from here. So please be patient, we'll be spreading all of the good news and details widely very soon! But his doctor yesterday said he's "CURED." Woooo-hoooo!!!
